We’ve talked about many ways of driving traffic to your website with search engines being a good source of free traffic but they can be fickle. Direct mail, flyers and other methods also work well.

I mentioned this program a few posts back and discovered that many bloggers have dismissed Instant Blog Subscribers because it is new and doesn’t have all the bells and whistles Blogger, WordPress.com and self-hosted WordPress blogs offer.
Many non bloggers are also rejecting IBS out of fear. This fear is often based on the belief that it is too complicated. IBS is completely free unless you want a larger audience without effort. The blog is set up for you and is ready to use as soon as you
complete the registration process, there are several different themes that you can activate with the click of a couple of buttons and the blog posts use an editor that displays your content as what you see is what you get when you publish.
According to the Instant Blog Subscribers management, IBS has more than 9,200 subscribers and it is growing by about 1,000 blogs a week. I believe that is a large enough base of potential visitors to satisfy most marketers.

Get More Traffic With Automation

Marketers work daily to get more traffic to their websites & squeeze pages because traffic yields prospects then sales. Are you effective at traffic generation?
Autosurfs
An autosurf site is one that browses from one site to the next without any input from you. These sites may display your page for anywhere from 5-30 seconds but they rarely do anything other than increase the hit count to your page. A high hit count is useless if no human ever sees it.
Safelist Submitters
You must pay a monthly fee for a submitter or buy software THEN find safelists that allow automated submissions. Many safelists offer a tool to auto clean your safelist box so you never have to look at a message unless you choose to or mail clients can be configured to automatically delete incoming safelist messages. Is this marketing method worth spending time and money on if your efforts to get more traffic to your offer delivers only the newest of the new?

Back links | Part Of The Equation

Attracting highly targeted traffic from the search engines requires back links, quality content based on the right keywords and participation from your visitors.
Each of the 3 components is important to the search engines. As the algorithms are altered by the search engines, one element is given more weight than the others.
Too many marketers fall for the fads and alter their whole marketing plan just so they can concentrate on
trying to exploit the fact that their favorite search engine is currently
placing more weight on the number of back links their site has pointing to it.
These marketers may achieve page
1 listings and enjoy the traffic and sales that can come from that.
Unfortunately, many of these marketers don’t fully understand search engine marketing or the changes that take place as algorithms get adjusted. This lack of knowledge will leave them shocked when they suddenly fall from page 1 into oblivion.
The adjustment will be viewed as a slap. They will either have to learn the basics of search engine marketing
and put them into practice or they’ll latch onto the next traffic generation fad.
Let’s examine each of the three vital components that will help you avoid big surprises when the search engines adjust their algorithms.

Is This The Next Squidoo?

Google loves Squidoo because fresh content is constantly being added to the network of lenses. Could Instant Blog Subscribers be the next blog community Google shows some love?
Hubpages and WordPress.com are both loved for constant fresh content in their networks too. I don’t see any reason IBS couldn’t become the next authority site to grab some welcome attention from Google.
You can bet the addition of 5,000 blogs in 5 days has the attention of the search engines. As the blog network grows and members add both content and then promote their posts, the traffic and authority of this platform is bound to grow.
