10 Habits You Must Quit to Be Happy

10 Habits You Must Quit to Be Happy

The 10 habits listed in this article were not originated by me but I wholeheartedly embrace what they mean and you should too.  They apply to both your business and personal life.

I am NOT going to explain in depth why you need to quit each habit because the original post that was written by Angel did an excellent job of doing that and I suggest you not only read it but take the time to fully understand the message associated with each habit you must break.

1.  Quit procrastinating on your goals.

2.  Quit blaming others and making excuses.

3.  Quit trying to avoid change.

4.  Quit trying to control the uncontrollable.

5.  Quit talking down to yourself.

6.  Quit criticizing others.

7.  Quit running from your problems and fears.

8.  Quit living in another time and place.

9.  Quit trying to be someone you’re not.

10.  Quit being ungrateful.

Dropping each of these habits will take time, effort and constant vigilance but the reward is definitely worth the effort.

You will enjoy a life that is much more enjoyable and you will attract the people and financial rewards you desire.

Your work will be more enjoyable because people like being around happy and upbeat people and this is the same reason your personal life will also flourish.

Start breaking the bad habits today so you can enjoy the rich and rewarding life you deserve sooner rather than later.

Disturbing Trends

I receive a lot of ezines as I’m sure many of you do and I’m starting to see trends that are disturbing me.

It looks like many of the Internet Marketers out there have forgotten the basics.

The foundation of every business should be the business plan. Add to that your daily plan of action or system you intend to use to reach your goals. Revisit your business plan regularly and revise to keep up with changes and your accomplishments.

Know What You Are Buying And Why

You started your business to reach a specific set of goals. Everything you do should move you closer to these goals. The money you make is a tool that you use to help you get what you are seeking.

As your business grows, you’ll need to spend time and money to get the skills you need to move to the next level. Sometimes it is more cost effective for you to do the job yourself. At other times, hiring an employee to do it is a smarter route to take and it is sometimes best to contract the job to an outside service specializing in what you need done.

Always figure the costs of each option and remember that every job you do yourself is taking you away from building your business beyond its current level. Your time is valuable so put a dollar amount on it to use in these calculations.

Is Your Health Important To You?

To me, the most important asset you or anyone has is their health. Most of us don’t take care of our health when we are young so we pay both figuratively and literally as we age.

If you are reading this and are relatively young or in good health then start doing everything you can to improve what is already good or to fix what was damaged without you knowing or realizing it.

Everyone that has a few years behind them or is experiencing health problems will benefit from the knowledge I’m going to share with you if you are open minded and are willing to take action.

Are You Living A Balanced Life?

want you to stop and think about your life for a minute. Do you work one or more jobs in addition to your online business? Do your duties as a parent, spouse, sibling or adult child keep you too busy? When did you last enjoy a vacation of any kind?

How often do you schedule quality time for yourself?

If you are like me and most of the people I know, you are spending so much time making enough money to pay the bills and keep ahead of the expenses you let other aspects of your life slide.

Stop neglecting any area of your life!

Think about all of the work you do and how burnt out you feel working 10-14 hour days 5-7 days a week. Your mind becomes mush after it focuses on one task for extended periods of time.

Read up on some of the great minds and leaders and you’ll see that they often took the time to take 10-15 minute power naps, to meditate or to enjoy some other diversion which rested their minds.

Your brain is a muscle that gets tired from exertion just like every other muscle. Doing something that generates stress for long periods of time will result in that stress physically manifesting itself in a way that will force you to divert attention to it.

Do yourself a favor and spend time with your family, enjoying something that’s fun, meditate or doing anything but work for a little bit.

I think you’ll find you have better concentration and con more easily focus on your business when you return from your break.

I’ll be adding links and describing various means of recreation over the coming days and weeks in addition to marketing related material because balance should be part of your life and business plan.

One example of what I'm talking about are the Winsor Pilates Videos
