WordPress Installation

WordPress is an awesome blog platform that has evolved into an extremely powerful Content Management System (CMS).

This script resides on a server and it is most powerful when hosted on your own hosting account with your own domain.

Even though this script can be installed from cPanel in about 10 minutes or less with NO technical skills, many are still afraid to do the install themselves or they have the skills but prefer to outsource the job so they can concentrate on their business.

(Note: I never use or recommend automated scripts for installing WordPress. I don’t like the idea that a footprint is left behind that a dedicated hacker could follow AND the automated installers usually don’t have the WordPress script updates in them as quickly as they are released.)

After you install the basic WordPress script, you will need to choose and install the plugins that will increase both the functionality and search engine friendliness.

I will be happy to:

• install WordPress.
• install plugins that improve the functionality and search engine friendliness.
• register plugins that require registration using the email address you set up to receive emails from your domain.
• install the theme you choose or I’ll choose one for you in accordance with your desired look and feel.
• work with you to create a title, slogan, description and keywords that will help you in the search engines.

This will be a one time install and configuration on your domain and hosting account.

(Note: If you choose to get hosting and maintenance through me, I can install a few premium plugins that help you with things like legal disclaimers and social media.)

You will be responsible for backing up WordPress, updating the script which happens about every 60 days and updating the plugins which have no regular schedule for updates.

Once I have all of the information I need from you, I can usually have your blog up and ready for you to start using in 2 days or less unless my workload is heavy.
