You only need 3 things to succeed.
1. A clear vision.
Have you ever heard the phrase 'If you can imagine it, you can achieve it.' Wallace D. Wattles wrote a book in 1910 called 'The Science of Getting Rich' and this book says, to me, that everything is energy based and you can create in the real world what you've already created in your imagination if you firmly believe you deserve what you are seeking and grasp any and all opportunities that come your way that will help you reach the goal you've imagined.
As we grew into our dating years, we had to sell our potential dates on the benefits of dating us and later on why they should agree to become our mates.
Everyone that is seeking a job has to sell their potential on the benefits of hiring them as an employee. When you ask for a pay raise, you must demonstrate that you’re a valuable asset that deserves more which means you are selling them on your value.
If you are married, you should be doing things on a regular basis to remind your mate why they chose to marry you and that those reasons are still valid.
You should regularly be adding additional value to your relationship just like your job so you remain in good standing with both entities. This additional value at work may result in job security; pay raises bonuses or other perks. The perks you may gain by demonstrating additional value to your mate can’t be measured in dollars but they can be very pleasurable or rewarding.
Failure to sell yourself to your boss may end in the loss of your income when you lose your job. If you fail to sell your value to your mate, you may lose your relationship and that can be very expensive emotionally and financially.
If you’ve read this far, you probably realize that selling is a natural part of our lives. Our only choice when we decide to go into business is which business model suits our style and how we will maximize our natural and learned selling skills within the business we’ve chosen.
