Does Your Business Marketing Plan Have This As Step 2?
Your business marketing plan has multiple steps. This article is about the step that should follow the creation of a five star reputation. See if you agree.
The series of articles that I am writing are to get you to think about the different elements of your business and your marketing that I think are vital in the order that they are used to achieve the success that you deserve.
Even with its flaws, the marketing plan page on Wikipedia does a good job of pointing out that there are many different aspects of a marketing plan.
My Marketing Plans
My marketing plans always start with the first goal being the creation of a five star reputation as I outlined in the article titled: “Does Your Business Marketing Plan Start Like This?”
More buying customers is your goal and mine and our marketing plans are the roadmaps we use to achieve our goals.
The individual tactics that we use to achieve our respective goals may vary from niche to niche and industry to industry but certain pieces must be implemented in a specific order to achieve maximum success.
Once a five star reputation is in place, it is time to start expanding our reach beyond our branded and search engine optimized marketing websites.
The obvious starting point for a local business would start with local directories such as:
- Google+ Local
- Bing Local
- Yahoo Local
- Other major directories
- Niche directories that Google sees as important to your industry
- Directories that your competitors have listings in
Social sites that are important to both local and online business owners may include:
- Facebook business page (local page for off-line businesses)
Having an optimized profile on each of the social sites frequented by your customers is important if you want maximum exposure and customer engagement for your business.
Adding your citation to the description of each video is very helpful but it must be part of your overall video optimization and promotion strategy.
Optimizing images you use and sharing them on image sharing sites where you have an optimized profile can add both traffic and authority when used correctly.
A referral program that rewards customers for bringing you new business is another way to expand your reach.
The ways that you can expand your business are limited only by your creativity and your ability to track the different marketing methods that you try.
If you do a good job of tracking your marketing, you will experience a positive ROI on each method you use and expand so a marketing budget is never a factor because you will know how much business will be generated for each dollar you spend using that particular method.
Since you are actively collecting positive reviews from your customers, you will have plenty of fresh testimonials that you can use in your marketing materials to attract new business.
The social proof these reviews provide will make your sales material easier to trust and believe.
A marketing plan that puts building a strong reputation in place before an aggressive marketing campaign is begun will ultimately save you money and make you more money.
