Build Your Reputation

Market Your Reputation

Monitor Your Reputation

You may have an online reputation on multiple online directories without knowing it. Additionally, one or more of those online directories may have customer reviews that you don’t know exist and you have no way of knowing when new ones are added unless you actively monitor each of the major online directories.

Manage Your Reputation

The reviews left on the various online directories give you an opportunity to engage your customers. A positive review is a chance for you to acknowledge the review, thank them for leaving a review for you online and you can invite them back to shop again. If a customer leaves a negative review, your response is a way for you to let them know that you hear them and that you want to do something to try to rectify the problem. Your response also less potential customers see that you provide great customer service when there is an issue.

Build Your Reputation

Dissatisfied customers are much more likely to vent their frustration online rather than with you or a staff member. The desire to avoid a face-to-face confrontation is often the reason they go online and they also want the world to know just how unhappy with the product, service or customer support that they received.

Everyone likes to shop where they’ve had a five-star experience or they see that someone else had that level of shopping experience.

Unfortunately, happy customers are much less likely to leave a review online unless you actively ask them to share their experience with your business. For this reason, you need to have a system in place to ask your customers to leave feedback about their experience with your business.

Market Your Reputation

Taking the time to build an online reputation isn’t enough on its own to help you attract new customers.

In many niches, local businesses that actively build and market their excellent online reputation are seeing 80% of new business coming directly from their online reviews because 92% of surveyed consumers said that they read online reviews before they make a buying decision and 84% of those people stated that the reviews that they read were factored into their buying decision.
